Special Delivery for Asher

We were so excited to find out that someone from our church was going to Jinja this week, and he offered to take a present to Asher. I mean, how often does someone from your church just happen to be going to Jinja, Uganda? The kids and I got busy picking out a present for Asher. It was Danny who finally came up with the idea of a soccer ball. And so we packed a box with a little soccer ball and tons of gum and dum dums to be shared with all. Everyone threw in a note for Asher, and then we wrapped it up. I know its flowers on the paper, but I'm hoping that Asher is so excited that he won't really notice!

  2. Hey Dana!

I'm so glad you left me a message on my blog so that I could find yours'! I think I might have known the address at one point, but most of my brain cells are now gone, so ?????

I just read far enough back to catch up on the Asher-happenings! YAY! I'm so thrilled for y'all. He is precious and there are 3 VERY capable boys here who love little brown boys and would love to help you out with him, if ever you need them. Just think, y'all both already know them all, they come with big brother skills, adoption-knowledge, and Asher could receive free football coaching at the same time!

I can't wait 'til you find out when you're going for sure. All I do know from our nearly 3 year wait for Macy Li, is that God's timing is ALWAYS perfect. If we hadn't waited all that time, someone else would have OUR baby! This little girl is such a KEMP, it's scary! We MUST share DNA! It's amazing how God hand-picked her for us and us for her!

Your children will be crazy in love with Asher! I know you've heard every adoptive parent tell you, and it's so true, but the love you have for your adopted child is something so profoundly deep that it's unexplainable. Just ask my boys. It's like you discover this "uncharted territory" of your heart you didn't even know existed before...and it's astounding how you find this type of "love" you didn't even know you could possess. I fully expected to love her as deeply as I do my boys, but I just didn't know that I'd find this place in my heart that is new and profound and....well, indescribable! It's the miracle of adoption...the Father's Love that He has lavished upon us!

We're so blessed He called us to adoption. YOU'RE so blessed He called YOU! Strap on your seat-belts, and get ready for the ride of your life! It's wonderful!

Well, I'm off to pull together crazy costumes for the boys before they head off to Kanakuk!!

Love and blessings to the KECKS from the KEMPS!
